In 1989, Mr. Zayasu taught blind shells in the Haebaru Elementary School, which is demonstrated in a book of "PEACE EDUCATION SELECTION 4". I analyze his article and obtain the following points.(1) Teaching of blind shells is an appropriate school lesson which has pupils recognized the value of peace.(2) Teaching of blind shells can be substituted for teaching of fie and flood in the lesson of the Safety Unit of the Social Studies.(3) Teaching of blind shells has a good oppotunity to experience the Battle of Okinawa during the World War Ⅱ and also to suggest staying power of future peace.
