The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between performance and knowledge of swimming for primary education department students in the swimming class. The number of subjects were 472 students of primary education department. The main results obtained were as follows.1)According to a questionnaire before the swimming class ,the students of 36.16% answered that can't swim 25 meters.2)It is characteristic of subjects that there were differences between knowledge of stroke and swimming performance ,before the swimming class.3)Because of students changed swimming performance compared with before and after the swimming class ,teaching content and methods were effectively implemented for students.4)According to a questionnaire after the intensive swimming class ,almost all students recognized improvement of swimming performance during the intensive swimming class.
