Many studies have been conducted to explore the factors that determine a performance of the individual player or team in the volleyball, and they have found that some specific motions for the individual player or team have an influence on their performance. However, there is a shortage of empirical analysis on the determinants of match results, it has not been clarified yet. This study applies an econometric method and empirically examines the determinants of match results using a sample of Men's Matches in Kansai University Volleyball Federation from 2014 to 2017. The result shows that the average number of the block is the most important factor to win the match.

生涯学習がしばしば取り上げられるようになってきたが, どれほど定着しているのか, 一人ひとりの受け止め方の違いもあり, はっきりしない。まず生涯学習という用語がどのような文脈で用いられているかを示し, 地域社会のまとまりを促進させていく上で, 今後いっそう重要な役割を演じることをみていく。生涯学習を実施するにあたって, 従来の行政だけでなく, 大学を含めたさまざまな担い手が必要とされる。生涯スポーツは, 生涯学習を組み立てる重要な柱である。かつて企業がスポーツを支える役目を果たしてきた。しかし社会が変化し, 地域社会を基盤としてスポーツに接する機会がふえてきた。本稿ではその一例として近畿大学体育会バレーボール部(以下では近畿大学バレーボール部と表す)によるバレーボール教室を取り上げる。大学は地域における貴重な資源であるから, その資源を生かして地域の人びとのニーズに応えていくことが大学の社会的責任のひとつであるといえる。 (英文) First, we will consider the implications of life-long learning in the context of the local community. Nowadays universities are expected to play an important role in the life-long learning process. Next, we will see that life-long sports constitute an essential element of life-long learning. The Kinki University volleyball team plays a unique role in community activities. Finally, we will also describe the social contributions of the volleyball team to the community.

[概要]近畿大学体育会バレーボール部は平成27年度関西大学バレーポール連盟男子1部春季リーグ戦において全勝優勝を果たした。対称的に同年度秋季リーグ戦では1次リーグ戦を 1位通過するが,上位リーグでは優勝を逃し4位という結果となった。これらの結果の相違は戦術がどのように機能するかという点を分析する上でよい題材になる。そこで本研究では,JVISデータを用い,サーブレシーブ(SR)の成功率,アタック(A)決定率,そしてブロック(B)本数(1セット当たり平均)の3つのプレーにおいて分析し各大学との対戦別に比較・考察を行った。その結果,3つのプレーにおいてブロックが勝敗を左右するということが明らかになった。[Abstract] Kindai University volleyball team won the championship in a complete victory in the 2015 Spring League, hosted by Kansai University Volleyball Federation. However, in the Autumn League of the same year, the team lost the championships, and ranked 4th, even though they had won all the games in the preliminary games before the final league. This big gap in the results between the two leagues can be the sources to find out how the strategies worked. Using the JVIS data, this study analyzes three categories; The success rate of the Serve Receives (SR), Attack (A), and the number of Blocks (B) Average per one set by game matches against different collegiate teams to investigate the play style of Kindai University volleyball team. As the result, we found that Blocks influence victory or defeat most in 3 plays.
