The Hiroshima Engineers Reaching Out (HERO) group was organized in 2003 and is comprised of staff from Hiroshima Kokusai Gakuin University. With the cooperation of Hiroshima Prefecture's engineers and young people trying to acquire engineering qualifications, HERO has held educational lectures with the aim of supporting technological development in Hiroshima Prefecture. The lectures were directed not only at students of the university but also the general public. In this report, we describe the planning, start and management of these lectures and discuss the lecture content and educational results. Further, we investigate the demand for these lectures and report on future issues based on the results of a participant questionnaire. 平成15年度より,広島国際学院の教員からなるグループ「HERO」を立ち上げた。HEROは広島のエンジニアまたはそれを目指す若者らが協力し,広島の技術発展を目指し,本学の学生だけでなく,広く一般の人々に向けて教育講座を開講した。本報では,本講座の企画,立ち上げ,運営について言及する。また,筆者らによる講座内容とその教育の成果を述べ,受講者のアンケート調査結果をもとに,近年の講座に対する要望を調査し,今後の課題について報告する。
