Recent health problems are mainly unbalanced nutrients intake, irregular food intake due to changes of daily life style and disappeared healthy Japanese food culture. On the other hand, according to food balance sheet, the self sufficient rate of food has been maintaining lower level by the over flow of imported foods from the outside countries. Under these situations, Government legislates on "Shokuiku kihon-law (Draft) " and several ministries such as The Cabinet Office, The Ministry of Health and Welfare and Labor, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and The Ministry of Education, Sports and Science will be wrestled with the Law. In this study we discussed about the contents of "Shokuiku kihon-Law (Draft) " which will be legislated by the Government because the educations related to the food and nutrition is the most important role and responsibility of Dietitian. We need to know what responsibilities will be given to Dietitian in this law. We also investigated through questionnaire about how "Shokuiku" is planned in each prefectural Dietetic Associations as their new criteria among 47 prefectures. The results of this survey will be discussed in this study.
