This is a report on the Linear-Servomotor, a new control system component, which has been developed in order to obtain the higher speed characteristic for servomechanisms and which has been made to move rectilineally without any mechanism like gear trains. In this study, the Linear-Servomotor is applied to the operating unit of self-balancing instrument, and it is clarified through the experiments that its speed of response is about 0.87[m/sec] and is superior to any recoder of the same type on the market in this country. Furthermore, it is discussed from various points of view that the speed of response may be able to speed up to 10[m/sec].
