学際的な領域を学ぶためには多くの書籍を読むことのいわゆる「多読」が必要とされている。多読とは「多くの本をかなりの早さをもって読むこと」である。また多読を単独の学習者が継続することは容易ではない。多読を集団で行うことによって、多読を単独で負担を軽減することができる。多読を集団で行う上でのコミュニケーションを通じて、多読者のコミュニティを活性化させ、多読を支援することによる学習の方法を提供することを研究の目的とする。コミュニティ・サイトにおいては、書籍を効果的に認知する機能を複数設け、膨大なデータベースを体系的に把握することを支援する。To study interdisciplinary fields, we have to read a large number and many kinds of books. Because we can't know all kind of books we have read, it is difficult for a learner to manage vast numbers of books at once. The purpose of this research is to propose a method of studying interdisciplinary fields using communities of extensive reading in which all members can communicate with the other members to support extensive reading. In this research, it is found that: 1. Support for extensive readers' continuous usage is accomplished. According to the result of the questionnaire, the system promotes communication and encourages the user to continue using the system. In addition, it is suggested that the book map function raises the interest towards the other users in the community.
