On the examination of the disturbance of skin from residusal ethylene oxide (EO) in the operating gloves, the patch test on bilateral anterior antebrachial regions of 30 volunteers (male) was done with fixing small pieces of natural rubber (NR) sorbing EO. Even in the case of the residual EO concentration in the NR pieces below 100 ppm, the redness was detected for a few volunteers. For above 200 ppm, this symptom was more considerable. For preventing the disturbance, it is necessary to keep the residual EO concentration in the gloves low enough.
