China, Japan and South Korea, as neighboring countries in East Asia, have great differences in their attitudes towards history because of the differences in their education of history. Focusing on the Sino- Japanese War of 1894-1895, which decisively influenced the fate of the three countries, this paper makes a contrastive study of the middle school textbooks and teaching practices in the three countries, aiming to reveal the differences and their causes in the three countries. Last, this paper proposes some solutions to the reform of history education.
