The some of large city in the world have the Mall park in their hart of the city, for example The Mall in London, The Mall in Washington D.C , the Mall park in Sapporo, Hisaya Mall park in Nagoya. The objective of this study is to research and analyze the role and function of the Mall park in the city. this paper begin with obtaining the data of the shape and scale of the Mall park in Sapporo city and Nagoya city. As a result the shape and scale of the Mall park in Sapporo and Nagoya are almost same size, but the date of plan and construction was seventy years difference period. The Mall park in Sapporo is rather flat in shape and scale because of small number of large planted tree and structure existing. And also the place is used for the snow sculpture festival every winter seasons. The Mall park in Nagoya is three-dimensional shape and use because of planted large scale of trees and constructed pedestrian bridge and sculpture monument.
