The present study examined the effectiveness of videotape feedback procedure in the development process of affective communication between an infant with autistic spectrum disorder and a mother who has an infant with autistic spectrum disorder, and mother's change in the manner of talking and behavior towards her infant with affective communication developed. Videotape observations at her home and videotape feedback interviews were conducted. As a result, the manner of talking and behavior towards her infant and the point of view understanding to her infant were changed. At the same time, mother-infant interactions were activated and affective communication between mother and infant was developed. Using PAC analysis, it could be confirmed that the mother had positive image for her infant. Based on these results, the effectiveness of videotape feedback procedure and PAC analysis were discussed.
