A new theory of sound analysis in the auditory system is proposed. The main function of the inner ear is not frequency analysis but transformation of acoustic information into impulses in the auditory neurons. An impulse evoked by sound stimulations in the inner ear has only two kinds of information, that is,1) “when” and 2) “in which neuron” it was evoked. The accuracy of the information is guaranteed by hair cells having the function of “phase locked” response to traveling waves and being aligned on the basement membrane.These two kinds of information can be analyzed as precisely as is needed by the convergences and the divergences of neurons in the central auditory system. The nature of “tonality” in the auditory system is the inevitable attribute of the theory of sound analysis I propose, which is called “Wavelength Theory”. The resonate nature of the basement membrane functions to transform the sound intensity into the total number of impulses evoked in the inner ear. There is a conflict in “Place Theory” with respect to the insufficient transformation of the sound intensity.

We reported a case of invasive laryngeal carcinoma arising in preexisting big laryngeal papillomatosis.A-59-year-old man complained of increasing hoarseness and dyspnea before tracheotomy. We noticed huge tumor in the larynx. Pathological diagnosis was papilloma at the first examination. Because of recurrence of the tumor, frequent management by dioxide laser surgery was required to maintain an adequate airway every 2-month. At the fourth time biopsy, the histological diagnosis was epidermoid carcinoma. Papilloma virus was also found in carcinoma. For radical treatment, total laryngectomy was done, and his clinical course is very good for two years after surgery.Some discussions were made concerning the classification, etiology, transformation into carcinoma and treatment of papilloma.

This research was carried out one of the information-act to make a dicision of shop for the project of shopping facilities. For this, research was carried out to clear out to clear up the relation between the selection of shop-design and personality. Dec. 1964, The field work was operated by the group interview to the students of Tokyo Dress-making School. The progress of research was devided into two stages, one was to try Yatabe-Kibler, personal inventry, another was Siheffe's Sensory test by means of color fiem that had photographed the shopfacade (Coffee-Shop) Analisis 1st stage was to compute the standard-deviation-σ-of Yatabe-Kibler test, and in this result, we decided to make two groups ; over+σ-we called it "C" group (Circulate type group), under-σ-called it "S" group (Shizopherenia type group) 2nd stage was to check the statiscal significant between C group (Sheffe's test) and S's by means of "F test". As a result, about, the selection of a facade design we can't see auy relation. The fact made clear that between the selection mechanism of facade design and personality have nothing to do.
