Empathy is a basicability to conform a relationship between patients and nurses in nursing.The empathy includes a process of feeling communication to coping to the pain of the patients. The feeling composed of a hierarchy structure of basic and cognitive components, so that the empathy may divide into two components of emotional and cognitive empathy.The emotional empathy is an automatic and unconscious process based on mirror neuron.The cognitive empathy is situation-and object-dependence in feeling communication. These suggest two different copings between acute and chronic care stage, related to emotional openness and emotional control. This paper discusses about feeling communication in emotional and cognitive empathy.
