This paper investigates to trace the early period of the history of Russian Archaeology, through Müller's "Archaeological Instruction" which written in 1740. His instruction is the oldest archaeological instruction in Russia. And in this paper briefly outlines the historical formation of Russian archaeology, discusses the role of German scholars and the Academic expedition in Siberia.
