In 1979, International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) defined pain as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage." Generally, pains are regarded as special senses of human and other higher vertebrates. However, I think that pains are not special.\All organisms have some nociceptor and abilitys to react to noxious stimulus. Algesthesia is a merely subtype of nociceptor equally.
