In this report, we have investigated various masks, which are used for covering one's face according to each specific situation, from the literatures. The summaries of this study are as follows.1)It was widely believed that a god stays in a body wearing a mask.2)The relations between god(s) and masks have been found in many countries. The masks were used for the dance that was dedicated to the god, the ceremony of the coming-of-age, and the funeral.3)Japanese people changes the expression for the masks with the words of `kamen', `fukumen', and an English word `mask'. The first word is generally used for the masks made of hard materials. The second one represents the masks of soft materials such as clothes, which cover the large part of the face. The last one indicates the masks covering the nose and the mouth for their health or work.4)Some masks are utilized for protecting the face against the bacteria from outside and suppressing the bacteria diffusion from inside. There are also the masks which protect the face in some works and sports.5)People usually wear a mask which is not a matter but a behavior of keeping calm without showing any feelings on their faces. A sense of values that such a behavior is a virtue still exists at present.

Research on documents of cosmetic plastic surgery showed the following results. 1.Golden and silveer ratios were used for cosmetic plastic surgery as beauty standards. 2.The ideal face was a small one with big eyes with double eyelids, a prominent nose, a well-shaped small mouth, and well-shaped eyebrows. Cosmetic plastic surgery was performed in order to repair injuries. 3.The history of cosmetic plastic surgery began in full scale after World War 1. At this time, cosmetic plastic surgery was performed in order to repair soldiers' injuries on their faces and bodies caused by the war. 4.The initial purpose of the performance of cosmetic plastic surgery was for overcoming an inferiority complex. Inmoderndays, however, the popular purposes are for self-satisfaction and getting close to the ideal oneself. 5.The common characteristics of cosmetic plastic surgery were found in four counties surveyed. They were self-satisfaction,a body supported by materials, and evaluation by imaginary people. 6.Cautions with cosmetic plastic surgery included that the image after the surgery should be shared by a doctor, that surgery methods and risks shoud be well understood, and that the information of surgery providers (both the doctor and the hospital) shoud be collected.

本法は、食育の実践として附属幼稚園児に対してパン作りを実践した事例研究である。結果を要約すると次のとおりである。1.パン作りにおける電子レンジ発酵法は、初心者の幼児を集団で指導し、幼児が作って食べるまでの全工程を比較的短時間内に終了することが可能であった。2.幼児が食事作りの一旦が担えるようになったり、もの作りに興味をいだく時期はその機会を多く与えることは大切なことである。今回のパンを作る体験を行った幼児は大変積極的で、かつ技術的にも有能であった。3.食育体験の評価では、全体的に、準備、熱意、レベル、楽しさ、新発見・学びの要素などにおいて、教員、学生、幼稚園の先生の評価は、いずれも好評で引き続き継続を望まれた。4.7種類のパンの諸性状は、基本パンの体積が最小で、他の色とりどりのパンは、いずれもよく膨らみ体積が大きなパンが出来上がった。栄養面は、ビタミン類やミネラルの多いパンや低エネルギーのパンなどさまざまなものを作ることができる。5.学生によるパンについての官能検査結果は、試料間及びパネル間で差がみられた。

本報では,文献により消えない身体装飾の「いれずみ」について調べた。結果は以下の通りである。1.「いれずみ」は所属を表したり,通過儀礼であったり,死後の世界へのパスポートであった。2.「いれずみ」は中国,日本では刑罰の一つであった。3.「いれずみ」は環太平洋地帯に位置するオセアニア,フィリッピン,インドネシア,台湾,日本,ロシア東部(シベリア),カナダ(カナダエスキモー),アメリカ(アメリカインディアン),メキシコ,ペルー,ブラジル(アマゾン上流域の原住民)等の多くの国の諸族に見られた。また,インドから北アフリカなどにも広く見られた。4.「いれずみ」は民間治療としても用いられていた。男女を問わず,神経痛やリウマチ,腰痛等の治療に腰・膝・肘等に施術されていた。5.江戸時代鳶頭達が「勇気」の象徴として,浮世絵を模した派手な意匠を身体の多くの部分に施術した。

Japanese radish shredded and dried is an excellent preserved food ingredient. It fits to a variety of other ingredients e.g.deep-fried Tohu "ABURA-AGE", carrot, etc., especially by simmering. It can also be easily rehydrated and served without cooking. Even the water used to soak the dried radish is a good stock. Its nutrient composition is rich in fiber and minerals e.g. calcium and iron;low-fat and low-calories. The characteristic of Kiriboshi-Daikon has much more possibilities in today's diet. In this modern society with diverse foods issues, we are bound in duty for further utilization of such possibilities.
