Cattle are Bos Indicus and Bubalis buffelus. A Jat family keeps at least four head of cattle, including two oxen and one she-buffalo, even if the cattle power exceeds the demand of their minifundio. Fodder (mainly chaff) is supplied domestically, totalling nearly one third of the gross yield. An agricultural tool kit consists of a hal (plough), a gahan (harrow), a pata (plate harrow), a kasli (hoe), a dranti (sickle), a kulpa (weeding trowel), a kulhari (ax), a guG
