In this paper we will examine Shintai-shiika(New-style Songs and Poems, 1882-3). We will categorize and examine the poems in this work in 5 volumes. Those books containing most poems in Shintaishisho (Selection of New-Style Poems, 1882) expanded the themes of Japanese "poetry" and established its standard style.
