The pacifists in the Weimar Era often disputed about the military execution of the League of Nations. Hans Wehberg, a scholar of international law and some other pacifists regarded it as the emergency measure, which could abolish the right of the self-defence. In other words, they criticized the inordinate expansion of the sovereignty in the modern nation states.
