貨幣の諸機能については,マルクスが『資本論』 において価値尺度,流通手段,蓄蔵手段,支払手段,世界貨幣という順でかなり詳細に分析している。マルクス経済学においては,この貨幣機能論が基本をなしている。しかしこの貨幣機能論の解釈は必ずしも一致して理解されているわけではない。例えば,世界貨幣は貨幣機能の範疇に入るものなのかどうか。また蓄蔵手段の機能から支払手段の機能への機能的発展はどのような論理内容で展開されなければならないのか。価値と価格との乖離の問題と貨幣の機能との矛盾はどのような論理で解決されるべきか。そもそも貨幣とは何か。これらの諸問題に対して多くの研究がなされてきたのであるが,岩井克人の 『貨幣論』 はこれまでの研究の成果に非論理的で非科学的な見過ごすことのできない論理をもってマルクス貨幣論を批判している。岩井は価値形態論における貨幣の必然性についても貨幣機能論においても「宙吊りの無限の循環論法」なる論法でマルクスの貨幣の必然性と貨幣の機能論とを一刀両断しているのであるが,岩井が循環論的貨幣機能論を展開すればするだけ,その非論理性と非実証性が明らかになるのである。本論文は,マルクス貨幣論が基本的に正しいことを追加的な概念装置を使って論証することを目的とする。貨幣機能の追加的概念装置とは,価値実現手段としての貨幣,使用価値実現手段としての貨幣,価値擬制手段としての貨幣および「信用の二重性」である。とくに「信用の二重性」とは,「本来的信用」と「擬制的信用」という信用の二重構造を意味する。「本来的信用」とは,貸付信用,商業信用,及び銀行信用における信用を実体とするものであり,その形態は商業手形およびそれから発展した「究換銀行券」を含む「信用貨幣」である。「擬制的信用」とは,国家の「法の支配」による「法的権威」を信用の実体とする「権威的信用」であり,その形態は「不換紙幣」であるところの「不換銀行券」と「政府紙幣」である。岩井が強調する「薄汚れた紙切れ」であるこの「不換紙幣」が永続的に流通する「秘密」を解くカギは,「宙吊りの無限の循環論法」が錯綜する宇宙にあるのではなく,「信用の二重性」が錯綜する現実の場に隠されているのである。本論文はこれを明らかにする。Karl Marx analyzed the functions of money in his "Das Kapital" in great detail. They are measure of money, means of circulation, means of hoard, means of payment, and world money. Marxist economics is based on this theroy of money. But we have some interpretations of this theory of money. For example, is world money included or not in the category of functions of money? What is the logic of the development that means of hoard switch over to means of payment? What is the logic which solves the contradictions that price estranges itself from value? What on earth is money? We have the outcome of many years of the study. But Katsuhito Iwai critisises the Marxist theory of money with his preposterous logic that we cannot pass over. Iwai cuts the necessity of money in the forms of value and the functions of money in hanging in two with a single stroke of the sword with the logic of "infinite circular argument hanging in midair"; however, his logic is not logicaly and positive definitely. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate with the device of added conceptions that Marxist theory of money is correct basically. The added conceptions are means of realization of value, means of realization of value of use , means of fiction of value, and duality of credit. The last conception i. e. duality of credit means dual struture of credit in which "primary credit" and "fictitious credit" exist. Primary credit means the credit which is based on the relations of credit. The money which circulates in the place of the relations of credit is "credit money" which have developed from commercial papers. Fictitious credit means "authoritative credit" which is based on the credit of "a legal authority" which originates from "the cotrol of the law" by the state. The money which circulates in the place of the relations with "authoritative credit" is "inconvertible notes" which are represented by inconvertible notes of bank and notes of government. The key to the solution of the "secrecy" that the inconvertible notes which are "filthy papers" emphasized by Iwai circulate perpetually does not exist in the space of "infinite circular argument hanging in midair", but in the real place of "duality of credit".
