The Japanese Go-on readings in the Shin-vowel group has i,o,a as main vowels, having stratified resemblance with Sino-Korean readings of Chinese characters. This has already its background in the Fan-ts'ie phenomenon! of rjindiansiunj Buddhist Transcriprions of the Liu chao period.which is problaby transferred to Japanese Go-on readings and sino-Korean readings from synchronic Chinese dialects of the Archaic period till the Liu chao period.
