近年のコンテンツのデジタル流通技術の発達と大衆化は、レコード産業を取り巻く環境に大きな影響を及ぼしている。(社)日本レコード協会とその会員レコード会社は、デジタル流通時代における音楽文化の発展と維持を図るため、総合的な音楽データベースを構築し、音源など各種データをネットワーク上でも流通することを検討してきた。その現在の構想と実現に向けた実証実験の計画について述べ、レコード産業の考えるレコードのデジタル流通の将来像に言及する。また、このデータベースにおける検索IDコードとして使用される「ISRC」についても、そのシステムと実践の現状を解説する。Recent improvement and popularization of digital content-distribution technologies greatly influenced circumstances around the recording industry. To keep and develop the music culture in such digital distribution era, Recording Industry Association of Japan and its member record companies have been studying building a synthesis music database and delivering a variety of music-related data, including sound recording, via networks as well. This document describes our concept and current plan, including substantial experiments, for the future digital record-distribution, also describes the "ISRC" system used as a common ID code for retrieving the database.
