PDA(携帯情報端末)は小型軽量のため,データ収集などに広く使われている.PDAは持ち運ぶことを前提としているため,どこで入力したか,どこにいるのかという位置情報が重要である.位置情報を携帯電話やPHSとGPSとを組み合わせて知らせるサービスは多数あるが,多くは一方向にデータを送るシステムであり,相互にデータを送るシステムは少ない.そこでPDAとGPSそれにPHSとを用いてリアルタイムに位置情報やチャットを行える双方向性のあるシステムであるNAMBAを開発した.NAMBAは大阪ミナミ周辺を対象として,お互いの位置情報を交換し,お互いに離れたところにいる人がリアルタイムにコミュニケーションを取れるシステムである.実験の結果から,離れた相手とのコミュニケーションに位置情報とチャットは重要なことがわかった.PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) is highly portable, and can collect data in anytime and anywhere. The positioning data will become important for a PDA. Most of systems using PDAs have one-way communication. So, we should develop two-way (mutual) communication system.We developed the two-way system which sends positioning information and messages to each other using PDA with PHS and GPS on real time. We applied this system to the area of Osaka Minami. From the result of these experiments, we found that positioning information and chats were important for communication with the disconnected partner.
