General features on the order Cumacea are described and illustrated. The species hitherto known from Japan are also listed herein. The following four species: Bodotria sp., Leucon sp., Schizotrema sp., and Campylaspis reticulata GAMO are also illustrated.

@kureka 干潟に出現するクーマはもとより干潟悽のようですよ！夜の満潮時には遊泳し、昼の干潮時には底表または底中に現れるようです。砂中の有機物を食べ、干潟ではDimorphostylis asiaticaが優占種らしいですね！
