本論文は,複数のカメラエージェントの協調によって広域環境中の人物位置検出を行う「分散カメラシステム」について述べたものである.カメラエージェントは各々1台の固定カメラを持つ画像処理コンピュータで,リアルタイムで複数の人物を追跡できる.またそれらはネットワークを通じて他のエージェントと通信を行うことができる.カメラエージェントは環境中のさまざまな位置に設置されており,互いの観察領域は重なっていたり離れていたりすることがある.さらに一部のエージェントの動作停止や新たなエージェントの追加といったイベントに対処する必要がある.このような問題に対し本論文では,各エージェントが与えられた環境マップと互いの観察領域から人物の追跡プランを動的に生成することで,複数のエージェント間で連続的に人物を追跡・位置検出する手法を提案する.実験では,追跡軌跡の評価実験およびエージェントの追加や動作停止実験を行い本手法の有効性を確認した.This paper proposes the ``Distributed Camera System''that can detect human position in a wide area.This system is constructed of many ``camera agents'' and achieves a task due to cooperation.Camera agents consist of a camera and an image processor and a computer network connects them.They are placed in a real environment and their viewing areas are either overlapping or separated.Each camera agent makes plans using an environmental map and the viewing information of the agent.Using these plans,the system can continuously track a person across all the viewing areas of camera agents.In addition, this system is robust with respect to agent's failure.We tested this system in two aspects: the detected trajectories and the system's robustness.In this paper,we present the results of these evaluations, confirming the efficiency of our system.
