Three view points are proposed for the definition of the information. The 3 rd one is newly proposed, which tells that the information should be defined so as to be applicable to every kind of the information phenomena. The definitions of D.M.MacKay, G. Bateson and the author are checked and it is shown that the definitions of two persons, MacKay and author are similar but MacKay's one is too much general. The reason is given why we cannot define the information as the entropy.
