亥鼻分館所蔵「ゐのはな古書コレクション」の中に, 浮世絵師歌川国芳の錦絵版画『華佗骨刮関羽箭療治図』がある。『通俗三国志演義』中の関羽将軍の一逸話を題材にとった作品である。国芳は多くの作品を遺しているが, その対象は, 武者絵・美人画・役者絵・風景画・戯画・魚類画, さらに時の為政者を風刺した「判じ絵」など多彩な領域に及んでいる。なかでも武者絵の評価が高<, 「武者絵の国芳」として名高い。武者絵として評価されている『華佗骨刮関羽箭療治図』にも, 「判じ絵」の要素が含まれているのではないかと考えられる。In one of the Inohana old book collections held at the Inohana Branch Library, the Library of Health Sciences, there is a color print, by an ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa, depicting the "Portrayal of the Physician Kuada Scraping the Bone of Kuan Yu to treat an Arrow Wound". This print depicts one of the anecdotes about a warlord Kuan Yu in Tsuzoku Sangokushi (the Popular History of the Three Kingdoms). Kuniyoshi left many excellent art works, and his print subjects include a wide variety of areas such as warriors, beautiful women, actors, landscapes, comics and fish, even further including hanji-e (a print based on a rebus) caricaturing the government officials of that time. He was most recognized for his prints depicting warriors. Further, he was renowned as the master of warrior prints. It is deemed that an element of hanji-e may have been included in the "Portrayal of the Physician Kuada Scraping the Bone of Kuan Yu to treat an Arrow Wound".
