In this paper, we propose a new method of assisting Kana-Kanji conversion for people with visual impairment. There are many homophone words in Japanese, shosai yomi is one of effective methods of assisting. However, it is difficult to decide with shosai yomi when semantic of word and semantic of kanji character are different. Our method, "Jisho setsume yomi", provides the sematic information of the word and usage. We developed program for evaluation and distributed it to people with visual impairment. We obtained generally positive respose from the evaluators.
