The goal of this research is to enhance a sense of existence of remote people and objects represented in a face-to-face display connection remote tabletop to local tabletop consistently with each other, which authors have proposed yet. Therefore, authors focus attention on effect of shadow which is non-separable from its entity, and devised a display system that local objects cast shadows on a local tabletop into a remote tabletop represented in the screen and remote objects cast shadows onto a local tabletop at the same moment as if people were around a common table. Consequently, the display system can express virtual shadows in two ways that a light source is installed at only one site and at both sites.
