近年,小中学校でパソコンを使った授業が盛んにおこなわれている.幼稚園でも創造性を豊かにする道具としてパソコンが使われ始めた.しかし,文字を習う前の幼児にキーボードやマウスの操作は困難である.我々はパソコンの操作をキーボードやマウスではなく,ペン入力デバイスを使うことで幼児にとってパソコンを操作しやすい環境を構築することを考えた.本稿ではその環境で,幼児が楽しく遊べるソフトウェアの開発について述べる.幾つかのプロトタイプ版をもとに現場の先生と話し合って,文字を極力使わず,イラストや音声を使うといった改良点を見出した.今後,その改良を行い,幼児の運動能力やペンインタフェースの特質を考慮し,幼児が興味を持つソフトウェアを導入し,評価して幼稚園の情報化を試みたいと考えている.In recent years, the lesson using a personal computer is spreading at elementary and junior high schools. A personal computer began to be used also in a kindergarten as a tool which makes creativity rich. However, the operation of a keyboard and a mouse is difficult for the small children before learning words. We think that we want to build the environment where it is easy to operate a personal computer by using a pen device for a small child.This paper will describe about a development of the software which small children can enjoy in that environment. We found it improve the problem using illustrations and voice, reduce using words as much as possible, through the experience that we have talked about some software of prototype versions with the teacher of the kindergarten. From now on, we will improve the software, and we will be trying to computerize child care of the kindergarten, with the software that considers of the children's physical ability and of the quality of a pen interface.
