本研究では,年代別の魅力顔に着目し,年齢相応という条件の下,魅力度を高める顔画像の操作法の実現を目的とする.顔の見た目の年齢推定には,各年代を代表する典型的な顔をサポートベクターマシンによって学習させ,年齢判別ベクトルを求めた.この年齢判別ベクトルに各顔の特徴ベクトルを投影し,年齢推定の判断基準として用いた.顔の魅力操作にあたっては,性別や年代といった要素とは独立して,魅力的/非魅力的と感じさせる要素があるものと仮定し,年代ごとの魅力顔について調査した.以上を踏まえた上で,入力画像に対して見た目の年齢を保ったまま顔の魅力を増減するために,入力画像の年代を推定し,その年代における魅力顔に近づける操作法を示す.Most previous computational works related to facial beauty analyze facial attractiveness and generate beautified images using only young facial images. Therefore, when elderly faces are beautified by previous methods, the modified images tend to look much younger, largely changing their perceived ages. In this paper, we assumed that characteristics of facial attractiveness differ between young, middle-aged and old, and present a method to increase/decrease facial attractiveness under the condition where the image's perceived age is maintained. Our approach includes estimation of perceived age by using SVM and analysis of characteristics of attractive/unattractive faces for each group age using PCA. The experimental results show that the proposed method successfully manipulates facial attractiveness at one's age.
