Resort Office Research Group has continued the research for three years and this paper is our final report. We discussed, had fieldworks, and carried out an experimental project. We could deepen the concept of the resort office and make clear its problems. We classified the resort office into two types: individual type and corporate type. The former is offices that self-employed individuals open at resort places on their own accounts, and the latter is offices that firms open for their management purpose. These two types are different from each other in some respects. We think that corporate type is harder to develop than individual type because of economic reasons. Nevertheless, we emphasize the importance of the resort office. The merit of the resort office is creativity and it is the key element of the global competition in the knowledge society.
