Siegfried Kracauer's Totalitare Propaganda, which was published for the first time in 2012, is a remarkable study about Nazi propaganda. Because the paper was written from 1937 to 1938 in Paris, it is the pioneer work on this topic. According to Kracauer, Nazism was a product of World War I, and its essence was the Will to Power. In order to establish an absolute power system, Nazism required the simulation of the national unification of Germany, which it attempted realize by means of changing people's psycho-physical structure through totalitarian propaganda. This article investigates Kracauer's Totalitare Propaganda at length and reveals that his thought acquived new motives through confrontation with totalitarian propaganda.2012 年に初めて出版されたジークフリート・クラカウアーの『全体主義的プロパガンダ』は,ナチズムのプロパガンダに関する極めて注目すべき考察である。1937 年から38 年にかけてパリで書かれたそれはまた,最も先駆的な研究でもあった。クラカウアーによればナチズムは第一次世界大戦の産物であり,その本質は「権力への意志」である。ナチズムは,絶対的な権力機構樹立のために必要な偽りのネーションの統一を,プロパガンダによって人間の心理的・身体的機構を変化させることを通じて実現したのだった。本稿ではクラカウアーのこの論文を詳しく検討し,全体主義的プロパガンダとの対決を通じて,彼の思想が或る新しいモティーフを得たことを明らかにする。
