グローバル社会が到来し外国語教育の重要性が増していくにつれ、学習する外国語の背後にある外国の思想や地域文化、習慣もともに学習する必要性があることが認識され、非言語【ノンバーバル】コミュニケーションの重要性が指摘されている。本稿では非言語【ノンバーバル】コミュニケーションと周辺言語【パラランゲージ】について、研究成果を追いその構成要素を調べた。加えて、発話を文字化したばあいに周辺言語【パラランゲージ】がどのような表現になるのかを探るために、周辺言語【パラランゲージ】を表現する語彙を抽出した。In the wake of the coming of the globalizing world and the increasing importance on foreign language education, it is generally recognized that there is a great necessity for learners to learn and to understand the thinking, the regional local culture and social daily customs which are embedded in any foreign language. In this regard, furthermore, it is also pointed out that one should not neglect the importance of the non-verbal communication. This article aims to achieve two purposes : firstly, it attempts to investigate the components of nonverbal communication ; secondly, it endeavors to trace the research results of paralanguage and its relationship with nonverbal communication. In addition, the article is also attempted to examine the case that when spoken dialogue (hatsuwa) is expressed or demonstrated by words (mojika), what kind of paralanguage expressions would be used and what can be observed? To achieve this, I extracted the vocabulary (glossary) which are used to express paralanguage in the realm of nonverbal communication.
