[概要]1998年5月12日,西ジャカルタ市グロゴールにあるトゥリサクティ大学で,街頭での抗議運動から戻ってきた学生に向かって治安部隊が発砲し,4名の学生が死亡した。この事件は翌13日に発生したジャカルタ5月暴動や,21日のスハルト大統領の辞任につながったともいわれている。本資料は,トゥリサクティ大学の関係者によって事件の直後にまとめられた文献等を基に,この事件の詳細を紹介する。 [Abstract] On 12 May 1998, the anti-riot police and military shot live bullets at students who had just come back from the street rally to the campus of Trisakti University in Grogol, West Jakarta. The shooting resulted in the death of four undergraduate students. It is believed that this tragic incident caused both the May 1998 Riots in Jakarta between 13_14th May and the resignation of Soeharto on 21st. This material introduces the details of the Tragedy of Trisakti based mainly on literature compiled soon after the incident.
