The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of employing collages and a career matrix in career education for third graders in a junior high school. First, the teacher asked students to use a career matrix. Next, the students were divided into several groups and asked to make a collage about a job and then to talk about various jobs based on the collages. The Career Maturity Attitude Scale questionnaire was implemented before and after the learning process. The results show that the students awareness of the importance of a career choice changed positively after the lesson.

近年、フリーターやニート、ひきこもりなど、若者をめぐる様々な問題が取り上げられている。特にフリーターとニートに関しては、若年者をめぐる雇用の問題として、研究がなされるようになった。しかし、両者の定義ははっきりと定まっていない。そこで、大学生278名に対し、フリーターとニートのイメージについて、質問紙法にて回答を求めた。カテゴリー分析を行なった結果、大学生は、フリーターに比べて、ニートに対しては、ネガティブなイメージを持っていることが明らかとなった。したがって、両者について正しく理解することができるよう、大学においてキャリア教育や、若者の社会的問題への心理的支援などを実施することの重要性が示唆された。
