The use of hemispherical concave specimen is proposed to evaluate orientation-dependent etch rate of single crystal silicon. Etch rate is calculated from dimensional change of the hemisphere during etching. Etch rate distribution to the total orientation has been obtained for the etchant of 40wt%KOH aqua solution. The orientation showing maximum etch rate was [110] at 40°C. It deviates from [110] with an increase of temperature. The maximum point seems to move toward [320]. This fact indicates that the etched profile varies with etching temperature even when the etchant and the initial masking pattern are the same. The effect of temperature on the etch profile is experimentally proved. Variation in etch profile according to the change in temperature is theoretically explained by the etch rate data.
本研究は、デジタル画像の圧縮・蓄積・転送など、画像の持つ情報管理の一面があり、アナログ情報をデジタル化して保管する方法を模索する研究も含まれている。4年間の研究期間中に、この分野の電子工学的発展はめざましく、研究のカバ-すべき範囲が広いため、X線撮影時からデジタル化される Computed Radiography(CR)は紹介するだけに留めた。従来から取り組んできたフィルムのアナログ的な保管方法であるマイクロ化システムを、いかにして効率よくデジタル化して活用するかについて新知見を得た。すなわち、テレビ・カメラのレンズ系をズ-ミングによりマイクロ・フィルム情報を直接拡大して電気信号に変換し、A/Dコンバ-タ-によりデジタル化する方法を開発した。CCD方式とレ-ザ-・スキャン方式のデジタル化も基礎的臨床的に比較検討した。デジタル画像の読影、報告書作製に関する適合性を評価するため、読影結果のレポ-ト作製の方法を比較検討するとともに、音声入力の方法の有用性を実際にテストした。Radiology Information System(RIS)の一環として放射線オ-ダリングやリファリングを実現させる反面で、その見返りとしてのレポ-ティングはやはりデジタル情報としてコミュニケ-ションされるべきであろう。しかし、有用なレポ-ト作製には臨床医から充分な臨床情報を得ることが必須条件である。このためのRISの臨床情報伝達ソフトウェア開発を行っているところである。画像管理・保管と読影業務すべてを包含するTotal Information System(TIS)をより高度化するために、実現可能性の高いMini-PACSやCase Information System(CIS)を実現させ、理想的なImage Management and Communication Systems(IMACS)を完成させるべきバック・グラウンドを研究した。

In the previous paper (this journal, 14, 270 (1950)) the author suggested a simple slide rule based on the general temperature relation of vapor pressure of liquids obtained. In the present, several slide rules are proposed for prediction of such relations as viscosity and surface tension of liquids vs temperature, viscosity and thermal conductivity of gases vs temperature, and critical temperature and critical pressure from normal boiling point. This slide rule can be constructed when the correlation between a physical constant, y, and a related variable, x, is expressed by a general equation, f2(y)=f1(x)+C, in which f1 and f2 are functions of dependent variables, x and y, respectively, and C is a constant depending on substances. If a pair of corresponding values (x0, y0) are given, C is eliminated, and any other correspondings of x and y are obtained. That is, if an only one point is available for a physical constant of a substance, all other values for that substance are obtainable at a glance with an accuracy satisfactory for engineering purposes.

The J-REIT market has been growing steadily since its birth in September, 2001, and up-to-date, real estate assets worth approximately 710 billion yen have been incorporated into J-REIT portfolios as a whole.<BR>It is expected that introduction of real estate investment index is on the horizon within a foreseeable future in parallel with acceleration of new IPOs of privately managed J-REITs.<BR>In the long run, real estate value index-linked securities may be designed and in the market.
