This study reports the process of a play therapy (mainly sandplay therapy) for a eight-year-old girl. The client had refused to go to school, and the cause of her school refusal was that a relationship between her and her parents was weak, with the result that she had lost balance in her mind. The play therapy had been continued once a week for one year and five months. In the course of the therapy, the client made many sandplay works, and told the story about a work after making it every time. The theme of the story was about the growth of a princess who didn't have her parents. The princess was cared by the animals in a forest, and grew up healthy. Probably the client must have projected herself on that princess, and could see the mystical unconscious world that people usually experience only in dreams. Through the sandplay therapy, the client had been healed and her problem was solved.
