世界の経営研究の国際標準化の流れの中,日本の経営学は独自路線を維持しつつも変化の兆しも見え始めている.このような状況の下,日本の経営研究にとって目指すべき質の高い論文の要件とは何だろうか.本稿はこの論点を,日本的文脈に根差した知見と,国際標準を満たした水準の2つの側面から検討する.第一に,何よりもまず国際標準をクリアする必要がある点,第二に,その国際標準を満たした後は,むしろ日本的文脈に根差した知見は国際的な文脈で極めて有力な武器になりうる点を論じている.国際標準を満たしたうえで,日本独自のユニークな視点をフルに活かして世界に貢献しうる論文を,国際化時代における質の高い論文と考えたい.

自国の環境劣位を克服し,世界規模で競争優位を確立するには数多くの困難が待ち受けている.本稿ではメタナショナル経営遂行上避けて通れない7つのジレンマを整理し,それらへの対応の重要性を示唆している.またメタナショナル経営に関する今後の研究課題を提示している.理論的基盤が未成熟なメタナショナル研究は,今後関連学問領域からの英知を取り込んだ学際的アプローチが必要となろう.

While R&D performance of individual researchers working within firms is considered to be influenced by the extent of their collaboration with the external research community such as universities as well as their interaction with other intra-firm units, we still do not know much about the mechanism under which different types of external/internal collaboration affect their R&D performance. In this paper, we report the factors that influence their R&D performance, with a particular focus on the balance between their external and internal R&D collaboration. Based on data from 130 R&D researchers within seven pharmaceutical firms, we tested our hypotheses on the impact of R&D collaboration on their R&D performance. Setting individual researchers as the unit of analysis, this study provides complementary insights into the research on the knowledge-based-view of the firm which is usually discussed at the firm level.
