「地無し尺八」とは、現代の様々な音楽種目に適応可能な「地塗り尺八」に対する尺八本来の楽器構造をもつ楽器の呼称である。それは、江戸時代に独奏を常とする虚無僧の楽曲吹奏のために発展し、尺八独自の演奏技法のほとんどはこの時期に生み出された。地塗り尺八の楽器構造は、明治以降、他楽器との合奏を前提に地無し尺八を徐々に改造して現代の形になった。そこで、西洋楽器的な基準からみれば性能は向上したが、反面、本来の特徴の幾つかは失われたといわれている。本報告は、音楽制作に応用可能な形での地無し尺八の特徴抽出の方法および、ソフトウェアとしての創作ツール開発の展望を述べる。"Jinashi Shakuhachi" is the name for the originally structured shakuhachi used to differenciate it from "Jinuri Shakuhachi," which has a musical structure compatible with other modern instruments. The Jinuri Shakuhachi has developed for the purpose of playing with other instruments. Therefore, according to standards of Western instruments, its performance has improved, however, some of its original characteristics have been lost. This study is to detect and state the characteristics of the Jinashi Shakuhachi, and also to show the development of a creative tool to utilize it.
