The normal emittance of the Black High Emittance (BHE) coating for refractory tiles has been measured for the surface temperatures of 473 to 1473K. The changes between virgin and exposed tiles were evaluated, and no distinct difference was found. Effects of thin metallic and ceramic coatings on BHE were also discussed.
