The Kamakura Shogunate did hot take economical profit from the barrier stations, but the Shogunate had the power which controlled the barrier stations. I think the Shogunate did so because of duty and pride as the samurai's administration. I divide the Kamakura period into three terms, and examine the contents of the Kamakura Shogunate's barrier stations control. In this paper, I focus mainly on the Kamakura Shogunate from the viewpoint of the barrier stations control in the Kamakura period.

For the repairs of the temples and shrines Chotei contributed the harbors with limited term. But the temples and shrines could not collect the tolls of the harbors, without the permission of Kamahura Bakufu. In this paper, the author focuses mainly on the leadership of Bakuhu from the viewpoint of "Kishinzeki(寄進関)" system.

The barrier stations, the Ritsuryo Period, had a military or police function, but they changed to an economic function later in the medieval ages. In this paper, the author focuses mainly on this functional change from the virwpoint of "Kasho(過所)" system.

"Dainippon Jishin Shiryo" is one of the historical materials in pre-modern Japan. Settsu was badly damaged by the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake, so I made a list of the earthquakes which had happened in Settsu. The background of Minoru Tayama, the author of the book, has not been known. We knew he had a younger brother whose name was Katai Tayama. Katai was a great novelist of naturalism. Minoru lived an unhappy life because he was involved in a trouble.
