Our representations of landscapes change though both land development and psychological changes. During Taisho periods Ena-kyo had an experience that both physical and psychological changes happened simultaneously. This study focuses on the influence of these physical and psychological changes on our representations of Ena-kyo and the relationship between them. The results show that naming elements of landscapes is able to change our representations of landscape. This could be one of the adequate methods to remain the landscapes in our mind despite that the physical change of land actually occurs. Furthermore seeing artificial objects in natural landscapes and vice versa refer to our expectation of friendships between human and nature.
