Colourimetric investigations were made on Au-Ag-Cu ternary alloys by spectrophotometry. Test pieces of alloy are prepared at 5 wt% intervals in compositions.Chromaticity coordinates of test pieces are calculated by weighted ordinate method from spectral reflection factor. Results are represented on either Munsel renotation system or CIE standared colourimetric system. In the eutectic region, colours of the alloy can be explained on the basis of additive mixture of the colours at end-members.
