本研究では,2017年に東京都港区湖雲寺跡遺跡から出土した幕府旗本永井家の歴代当主・正室の頭骨に貴族的特徴が認められるか,形態学的に検討した。貴族的特徴は江戸時代の身分制社会の頂点に位置する徳川将軍家や大名家の頭骨にみられる,極端に幅狭い顔面部,高く大きな眼窩,狭く高い鼻根部,華奢な下顎,微かな歯冠咬耗など,庶民とは異なる特有の特徴を表す。永井家の人骨は,当主10体・正室7体を含む約200年の系譜にわたる,これまで報告例のなかった旗本家の貴重な家系人骨資料である。本研究の結果,旗本永井家には当主・正室ともに貴族的特徴の傾向が認められ,当主は大名に近く,正室は将軍正室と大名正室に近い傾向がみられた。ただし,当主の下顎は庶民に近い頑丈性がみられ,貴族的特徴も世代を経るごとに強くなる傾向はみられなかった。また,顔面頭蓋形態と武家階層の高低との関連を調べた結果,特に男性において明瞭な対応関係が認められ,武家の家格や石高が高いほど典型的な貴族的特徴を呈し,低いほど庶民的特徴に近付くという階層性が示された。永井家に貴族的特徴が認められる要因としては,元々大名を出自とし,旗本の中でも7000石という高い階層にあることが考えられる。永井家当主の歯の咬耗は軽微であることから,下顎が頑丈な要因については,今後食生活以外の可能性も検討する必要がある。

Postminimalism, in the narrow sense, means the art by the generation next to minimalist artists, such as Eva Hesse and Richard Serra, who were representative artists at that time, and in the broad sense, it means "a series of art movements in the decade from 1965 to 1975, " which indicates the coinstantaneous developments of the time, including process art, earthworks, conceptual art, performance, and installations. Postminimalism, as well as minimalism, seems to correspond to the turning point from modernism to postmodernism, and therefore, seems to be one of the important clues, when we consider the argument about art and sites, such as current installations and public art. Arthur Danto, in his essay "Postminimalist Sculpture, " found the end of modern art in these works. The object made of daily and ephemeral materials, or the "dematerialized" work as an idea or a plan itself, for instance, as the object approaches zero, the environment or space where it stands is emphasized all the more, and in the end, art replaces the reality itself. However, I wonder if it is not until viewers participation in the empty space that postminimalist art takes shape, and we could find the potentialities of art in the setting and presentation of such devices.

This paper is the first of two companion papers dealing with ultimate longitudinal strength analysis of a container ship considering local loads effects. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the effect of bottom local loads on the longitudinal bending collapse behavior of a large container ship. An important problem is a bending deformation of the double bottom due to upward bottom local loads that may reduce the hull girder ultimate strength.A 1/2+1+1/2 hold model of a container ship is analyzed using nonlinear implicit finite element method. The analysis shows two major effects of the bottom local loads on the ultimate hull girder strength; i.e. the buckling of the outer bottom plating is accelerated due to the increased longitudinal compressive strain, while the effectiveness of the inner bottom plating that is in the tension side of local bottom bending is significantly decreased.
