We report here our experience of patient treated initially with famotidine and subsequently with proton pump inhibitor omeprazole. Protein levels rose to normal range after 4 months and remained within normal limits, but upper endoscopy still showed enlarged gastric folds after 5 months. Conservative therapy with PPI and H<sub>2</sub>-RA must be tried prior to surgery.
