少子高齢化・人口減少社会の到来の中で、我が国が目指すべき社会モデルとして「地域共生社会」が掲げられ、どのように地域の施策を進めていけばよいのかが問われている。この問題に対して、地域福祉から得られる知見は何かを問いとして、「ケアリングコミュニティ」に関しての検討を行った。その結果、福祉教育および地域の居場所の必要性、「社会包摂」の概念の必要性、相互実現的自立観の必要性が視点として得られた。総合考察として、ケアリングコミュニティを作っていくには、これら3 つの必要性を実現していくことが不可欠で、中でも、「地域の居場所」を数多く地域の中で作りだし有機的に結ぶことが、ケアリングコミュニティの現実化に希求されること、そして、多様な「地域の居場所」との関わりは、個人の自立生活を高める上でも必要であり、これからの自立した地域社会づくりともなることを示した。

The purpose of this study was to consider how to get back the real power of the children'sown culture in their daily life. To play innocently was considered to be a matter of greatimportance for their healthy growing, but today's modernized life reduced the time for them toenjoy their own culture with their heart pounding. To think about this issue, the authorcaptured the possibility of physical education in the elementary school.The analysis first showed the value of time for the children to play sufficiently from theviewpoint of physical development and inner experience. Secondly it treated with the findingsthat today's class of physical education showed strong inclinations to stress on having thestudents experience that sport is essentially full of fun. These considerations suggested that theclass of physical education could be the chance to get the power of children's own culture andwe needed to pay attention about the ability of the teacher for bringing up their students' playmind.The conclusion was that the teacher's attitude of loving sports could be a key to reconstructthe power of the children's own culture and good for creating the quality life.The purpose of this study was to consider how to get back the real power of the children'sown culture in their daily life. The aim of this paper was to assess how to make community places appropriate for the coming super-aged society. The author first examined the concept of a “third place” at which all generations in a local area can share in meaningful conversation. The author then focused on how to find motivation in life for elderly people in multi-generational community settings, particularly with younger people. There were three points in creating such viable community places; wisdom in daily life, activities that motivate elderly people to make a life worth living, and the reading of classics and classical art by several generations. The conclusion was that it was most important that such “third places” have qualified younger people involved in vivid activities with elderly people. Therefore, universities in local areas have the responsibility to educate their students in preparing to meet the challenges of a super-aged society.

この研究の目的は、現代の成熟社会にふさわしい生活文化を築くための教養教育のあり方について考察することにある。著者は、はじめに、西洋の伝統の教養教育の意味について捉える。そこでは、古典と教養が密接に結びついていることを確認する。その上で、教養教育の教材として、ダンテ『神曲』と紫式部『源氏物語』という二つの偉大な古典をとりあげ、次の観点からその価値を考察する。1)古典は、人間の本質とともに、文化の伝統を踏んだ母語の大切さについて教えてくれるものである、2)古典の中の言葉と芸術作品の間には深い関わりがある、3)古典の言葉は、現代の暮らしの創造にインスピレーションを与えてくれる力を持つ。最後に、著者は、日本の伝統における、ある教育スタイルについて取り上げる。それは、日本人の根源的な魂を孕む優れた古典の物語や和歌を語ることによって高貴な子女の心を育むという方法である。結論は、古典をいかに魅力的に生き生きと伝え、分かちあうかを工夫することが非常に重要だということである。現代の技術革新が生み出したマルチメディアやインターネットを活用した教材などは、そのために有効な手だてとなるであろう。
