We develop a small NC milling machine based on the concept of a micro factory. We try to manufacture this machine for using even in the laboratory where there are lot of amateur machine operators for getting trial machine parts. The small NC milling machine size is about 150mm×100mm×270mm. It is about 1/10 of the general milling machines. To evaluate this machine's performances we first make square parts:5mm×5mm×2mm and we make sure that this square parts accuracy is kept within 0. 01mm. We also make one of typical machine parts : a gear, and a circular pyramidal shape which is called a 2. 5 dimensional sample.

Édouard Phillips, a theoretician of 19th century, advocated the conditions of inner and outer end of Archimedes spiral, which is referred to as Conditions of Phillips. However, Phillips developed the expression for conditions using approximation, actual effect has not been adequately evaluated. We conduct holomorphic computation and it is realized that conditions of Phillips improve significantly not only isochronism of horizontal position but also that of vertical position.

It has been 17 years that we developed the watch lubricant “AO-oil” which resolves the problems of existing watch lubricant, i.e. “gelation”, “metal corrosion”, and “temperature dependence of watch lubricant's viscosity”, caused by time decay. AO-oil has been developed especially with focusing on base oil and viscosity modifier, which extends the life of timepieces and enhances reliability. Furthermore, by enforcing higher lubrication and stability I found that the lifetime can be extended much longer. As to this development, an optimal additive has to be selected by focusing on antiwear/extreme-pressure agent and antioxidation agent. Hence, now I report on this new watch lubricant “AO-oil”.

Citizen watch co., ltd have commercialized radio controlled watches for 12 years and succeeded in the development of the full metal base radio controlled watch which is using cal. H41 movement two years ago. This year, we have also accomplished the development of the micro miniature cal. H33 movement which is available for a full metal base radio controlled watch for women. We will report the two systems which is needed to realize the micro miniature cal. H33 movement at the next section. One is an antenna system and the other is an circuit system including the receiver circuit.

In late years the mechanical watch which a foreign-made watch was able to include attracts attention. In addition, a life pattern of the present generation is shifting on 2nd on a weekly holiday. In a market, this influence is had, and needs to a mechanical watch of the long power reserve. Thus it was the long continuance corresponding to market needs and we developed high accuracy mechanical watch (Cal.9S67).

Most of conventional micro manipulators do not have multi purpose functions, sophisticated motions and powers as human being's hands do, and can do only simple works; stabbing, injection and pipette insertion and translation. The purpose of this study is to develop and to assemble a chopstick-type micro hand with much higher workability and compatibility toa conventional manipulator system applying a commertial video game controller pad which has multi-input gate for the micro manipulators. Our chopstick-type micro manipulator is designed referring to the actions of chopstick. When we use the chopstick, a piece of the chopstick at the side of forefinger moves mainly to manipulate an object. But a piece of chopstick at the side of thumb hardly moves at all and only supports an object. Our new chopstick-type micro manipulator can catch a erlass dummy cell (φ50μm) by two glass needle and top of the single finger micro manipulator can reach exactly to the center of dummy cells.
