Electric power demands are increasing at present in many fields such as domestic homes, automation product systems at almost factories, maintenance and administration systems of buildings and infrastructure systems for public use. It is important to decrease the electric power loss and to design the electric system to compact one. Fundamental experiments on the metal contact of a high current bus are carried out for this reason. It is found from the experiments that the contact pressure is not essential, but the real metal contact with metal bond structure is essential for the low electric resistance in bus connection and the contact with the metal bond structure is able to almost attain to the value of resistance of metal bus with no connection part.

New electric power generation system with water drops based on the principle of electrostatic induction are considered. The preliminary experiments on the devise with one stage for the system are carried out for examining the possibility of effective collection of the electric charge. Dependence on devise parameters such as an applied voltage on the electrode, the length and width of its plate are examined in this experiment. It is found that amount of the collected charge increases with the applied voltage and the length of the electrode plate and the amount decreases with the width of the plates. It is also found that there is the upper limit on the amount of charge owing to water drops hitting on the electrode plate. For the survey of an electric power generation station with multi-stage system, the another device with two stage is constructed and examined.

Mathematical theories of wings are treated in this paper. Auther tried to treat them by solving a Dirichlet problem and by considering by means of the finite Hilbert transformation, and special cases are calculated and shown in graphs.

静電気利用の一方面として鉱物或は粉体相互の分離乃至選別は,静電気の特性に依り一般の選鉱法とは全く別個の原理で行われるので,通常の選鉱で困難を感じる石英,蛇紋岩の様なものが別け易いと云う様な現像が出て来る。従って此の選別法を浮選叉は比重選鉱と結合したり,叉これ単独での処理法が完成すれば,原料処理の方面に大いなる進歩が期待出来る。本事項についての研究は米国に於けるJohnsonの研究がその基本と成り得るとも云い得るもので,選別機は大小2個のドラムから成る普通のものであるが,鉱物に依り正負の帯電あるのを利用し,且つ各種の鉱物及び岩石の反撥する電圧を実験的に定めたのが大いなる功績である。即ちこれが吾々の研究にも大いに役立ち,その上著しく静電選別の技術を向とせしめたと云って過言で無い。吾国に於ては真鳥正市,作井誠太氏は平板の極に対し長い円筒の極を縦に対立させ微粉を円筒内を通過せしめて上昇せしめることについて,及び帯電粒子を電極に衝突せる場合の運動,円筒の直径と粉の上昇との関係について研究した。鳥山四男氏は板状2極間に半導体叉は導体を入れたものについて,静電気及び交流高電圧を用いた基礎実験である。同じく鳥山,佐々木,山川氏等は不導体及び半導体ベルトを用いた選別と,平行ならざる電極間,平行2極間に金網を入れた時の粉体の運動を調べた。佐々木正入学士は傾斜平板に対し多数の針状電極を用いた場合の黒鉛の運動,並びに優良黒鉛を選別採取する事について報告した。著者及び林克済学士はクロム砂鉱の静電選別につき,特殊の装置を考案して選別し,叉湿式法を始めて行い好成績を得た。金谷秀一博は傾斜ベルト式のものを考案し,黒鉛の選別を工業的規模に迄進めた。本報告はクロム砂鉱及び低品位赤鉄鉱を取り扱ったもので,この試料について実験を行ったのは従来之等の選鉱成績が比較的良く無かったから静電的に試みたのである。前者は砂鉱であるから角の鋭い部分が少なく粉砕したものに比し帯電が一様であるから,理論的にも良く分れる。叉赤鉄鉱の方は粉砕したので,前者の様な好条件は得られないが,石英と赤鉄鉱両者の電気的性質の差異から,分け易いと考えたものである。

The hysteresis loops are drawn by using the sampling converter and X-Y recorder,and the iron losses are measured from their areas. The author drew the several hysteresis loops as regards of the several kinds of frequency,and measured the iron losses of them from their areas. Using the results,the author attempted to separate the hysteresis losses and eddy current losses from the above-mentioned iron losses. On the other hand,the hysteresis loops are drawn by using the synchronizing switch method under the same condition as the above-mentioned experiments,and are compared with the results of above-mentioned experimental results. In these experiments,the areas of hysteresis loops are measured by planimeter,and as material the silicon steel plate (JIS-SIOF,1.918kg) is used.

The mechanism of the inverter commutation is studied. The circuit is composed of two resistances instead of a transformer. Gate voltage is 2 V, and gate current 3 mA. Capacity of the commutation condenser is 20μF. The voltage of the commutation condenser is calculated and it is shown that the anode voltage of SCR becomes negative, then it cuts the anode current of SCR. When we use as a inverter, a transformer is used instead of two resistances. The transformer has three windings whose number of tums is 300 respectively. The range of the output altemating current is 0--4 A, and the maximum efficiency of the inverter, which converts DC energy to AC energy, reaches 75%. The range of the frequency of AC could bechanged from 20 to 300 c/s in our experiments.

The match between the professional go player, is published to the go column of the newspaper several 10 moves each, every day. When the match is decided for some days, all the game records is published again. Everybody who learned the go and then became strong in it to some degree, tries to appreciate that record. But, it is a very difficult matter for us, that we trace this record only with the eye, because the stone even that has not been put yet in the real match, has already been printed. Also, even if we try to arrange stones on the board actually, it becomes a serious case to search the stone of the next number, as the number of the stone on the board increases. Then, in this paper, we describe a basic research for the programe inputting this record to a personal computer as the image data, and replaying the match in order of placed stones on the board graphically. The programe made by C_<++> language implements on the windows95, 98.

Finite element approach is successfully applied to-the vibrational Schrodinger equation with Lennard-Jones potential. Ar_2 atom molecules are considered for diatomic problem, for which the eigen values, the corresponding eigen functions and the vibrational level spacings are calculated.The calculated values agree with those experimentally obtained. This verifies the validity of the present approach, which paves the way to the application to the problems of this kind.
