人は環境との相互作用を通して成長をとげるが、現代社会ではその過程にコンピュータ技術が深く関与している。しかし、学校へのコンピュータ導入は必ずしも効果をあげなかった。情報システムの社会学の観点から分析すると、リソース問題、ポリティックス問題、教育観問題が指摘できる。システム開発は「問題解決」としてのシステム設計と、「制度化」としてのシステム構築からなる。システムエンジニアはシステム設計の社会的背景自体を設計し、成立させなければならない。教育へのコンピュータ導入の負の側面はとくに後者の不適切から生じている。「システムエンジニアとしての教師」概念を検討した。Human grows up through the interaction with environments which are penetrated with computer technology. But, the introduction of computers into school was not necessarily effective. From the view point of sociological approach to information systems, it was caused by resource problem, politics problem, and value position problem about education. System development is consist of system design as "problem solving" and system implementation as "institutionalization". System engineers should design social background of the information system. Negative aspects of IT in education is derived from the unre1evance of system engineering. The author discussed the concept of "teacher as a system engineer".
